Would you like to share your passion for youth work with other youngsters all over Europe?
You’re creative, and not afraid of a challenge?
JEF-Europe is looking for qualified trainers, interested in being part of the new JEF Pool of Trainers! This Call endeavours to bring together the most qualified young people of the organisation in the Pool of Trainers’ database, with the aim of raising the prominence and standard of future JEF activities on local, national or international level.
To become part of the Pool of Trainers, you must have been actively involved in international youth work for at least 2 years. Moreover, you have served already in minimum 3 international training activities (training courses, seminars). JEF-Europe puts great emphasis on non-formal education, experimental learning, group dynamics and interactive methods.
Interested? We invite you to fill out the application form and send it back to the secretariat at info {at} jef(.)eu. Also we would kindly ask you to forward this Call to all potentially interested members from your local, regional or national section.
The deadline for submitting your application is May 28th, 2010.
For any further questions or comments, feel free to contact the JEF-Europe Secretariat.
The idea behind the DeskConvention which took place in Brussels from 16th – 18th April 2010 was to gather the winners of our DeskChallenge and other active participants of previous Europe@myDesk events in the European capital for a weekend of discovering how the EU works on the spot. Sadly, the majority of our DeskChallenge winners couldn’t make it to Brussels because of volcanic ashes from Iceland that caused the closing of airspace in most Western and Northern European countries. Consequently, Brussels Airport and Charleroi Airport were closed from Thursday 15 April till Tuesday 20 April. In total, only 9 participants arrived on Friday by train or bus from the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, the Netherlands and Poland, while some were already in Brussels.

In Berlin, 8-11 April, 10 trainers from the diverse DeskEvent met to share their experiences during Europe@myDesk.
This first follow-up meeting focus on the content of the project and identified the best practices to be continued. The trainers are really motivated to continue their activities in their countries but also to share their knowledge in future activities.
The need of a Pool of Trainers was pointed out and should be operational in the next weekd! More information soon!
