The Europe@myDesk project team is comprised of the following people either working on the project full-time and/or as volunteers, each having an important role in the realisation of the project:

PROJECT DIRECTOR: Peter Matjašič*
As Secretary-General of the Young European Federalists (JEF-Europe) Peter is the person legally responsible for the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the project. Peter relies on a strong team that is determined to make this project a true success and reachout to as many young Europeans as possible. Peter originally comes from Slovenia but considers himself a true European, having lived and traveled in various parts of Europe (e.g. Barcelona, Berlin).

PROJECT MANAGER: Iohanna Gonzalez
*

As project manager for Europe@myDesk Iohanna is the main contact person for the project and the one who has the best overview of all aspects of the project, especially coordination with project partners and trainers, preparation, implementation and follow-up of individual activities and making sure we get sufficient visibility and respect the rules of the project.
Iohanna is half French, half German. She has a Master in Political Science and another one in International Relations from the Institute of Political Science in Strasbourg. Prior to coming to Brussels she moved every year to a new city, participated in an Erasmus exchange programme in Stockholm, interned at the French Embassy in Berlin, at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and worked for the Remscheid Academy for Cultural Youth Education near Cologne.

PROJECT ASSISTANT: Matej Črnjavič
*

As project assistant Matej has been working mainly on developing the numerous design aspects of the materials produced within the Europe@myDesk project. Thanks to him we have a youthful and cool looking flyers, posters, postcards and notepads. Moreover, Matej helps out implementing several DeskEvents and assists the project manager where needed.
Before joining the European Secretariat Matej was an active member of JEF-Slovenia since 2005, where he organised and participated in different seminars and other national and international events. He studied International Relations at the University of Ljubljana and has gained practical experience in European affairs and international politics through work for the Ministry of Economy during Slovenia’s EU Presidency and for the British Embassy in Slovenia.

PROJECT INTERN: Thomas Spragg
*

As project intern Thomas has joined the project team to help out with the project website, making sure the follow-up in terms of uploading photos and videos of events is done in a coherent manner. Moreover, he makes sure that numerous web 2.0 tools available can be best utilised for the promotion of the project and furthermore ensures a link with thenewfederalist.eu as one of its editors.

FINANCIAL DIRECTOR: Till Burckhardt
*

Till is the Treasurer of JEF-Europe and the brain behind the Europe@myDesk project idea. It was thanks to Till’s creativeness and persistence that the project idea became a reality and now he is making sure that the financial aspects of the project are being taken care of properly and already working towards a possible follow-up project.

EB RESPONSIBLE: Pauline Gessant
*

Pauline has been an active member of JEF for several years and has recently taken up the position of senior Vice-President of JEF-Europe. Given her vast experience in training and implementing similar projects in France she took over the responsibility of ensuring a link between the Europe@myDesk project and JEF-Europe as well as helping out in the project as a youth trainer.
