JEF Europe, in partnership with Casa de Cultura a Studentilor Bucuresti, organised a DeskEvent in Bucharest 4-6 February. With an intervention at the “Lycée Français” and 2 Workshops, the 3 days of the training were very full!
With approximately 50 participants each day, the training on Project Management (led by Pauline Gessant and Iohanna Gonzalez) needed to be divided in 2 groups to make the work more efficient. The young people, volunteering in different organisations were more interested about fund-raising and finances. During the afternoon, the participants were divided into smaller groups to work on their own project from three words (one object, one location, one date). Then they presented their draft to the entire groups who positively critisized their presentation using the knowledges they learnt during the morning session.
On Saturday morning, JEF-Europe proposed one workshop dedicated to “youth journalism and the new web technology”. Alexandra Jeles, student at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication and reporter for on-line publication for teenagers called Zdaf.ro and InfoCampus, delivered a workshop on the different media including Internet and the good way of writing an article. Then The participants were invited to critizise an article and to propose a new starter for it.
