The DeskEvent in Finland was organised in cooperation with Eurooppanuoret (JEF Finland) and it took place from 25 to 27 February. In total it reached around 80 students and young workers.
The first day was dedicated to the Europe@mySchoolDesk part of the event – we organised a panel debate for high school and university students on the topic “New parliament, new commission, new treaty – What kind of European Union do we live in?“.
On the second day we had a presentation on youth journalism and the use of new web technology. We also hosted a guest speaker who prepared an interactive session on how to be successful in publishing your articles in the sense of being successful in attracting media attention for yourself or your organisation.
The third day was dedicated to project management – in the first part of the workshop participants were given an introduction to project management and financial management, special focus was put on preparing low budget activities and street actions. In the second part participants had to come up with and develop an idea for the 9 May activities
