San Sebastian

P2063895The Europe@myDesk project is planning its final DeskEvent in San Sebastian (Spain), between 5th and  6th of March 2010. It will be organised by JEF-Europe in cooperation with its local partners (from Euskadi, Madrid and Catalunya).

The three day event will give young people from the Basque Country and other parts of Spain the opportunity to get information about the European Union and its programmes for young people and to engage in discussions with their peers about the present and future of the EU.

To achieve this we will make an intervention about the European integration in a high-school entitled Europe@mySchoolDesk to discuss what Europe means to pupils and make them aware of the possibilities offered and the benefits of countries and people working together.

Furthermore, we will organise two workshops aimed at young people and interested public:

-          a workshop on European journalism about the new web technology and how to make use of the new internet and media tools in daily work and projects;

-          a workshop on project management which will inform about financial, logistical and technical support for projects.

At the end of the event attendants will have the opportunity to participate in a contest (write an article or organise a project) to win a trip to Brussels in April 2010!

The workshops are free of charge, open to all young people interested in the covered topics. Feel free to subscribe to the workshop, write an email to Filippo De Agostini and Pablo Urbiola: europeistak {at} gmail(.)com
