The NewsDesk think-tank taking place in this year’s European capital of culture Vilnius [LT] from 14-17 August 2009 was the third preparation meeting within the framework of our current project focusing on the Europe@myNewsDesk part of the so-called DESK events.
It brought together the Editors-in-Chief of our online magazines as well as active bloggers, Secretariat and EB members plus local youth activists. Together we discussed issues such as citizen’s journalism, use of new IT tools such as social networks, blogs and webzines, the cooperation and networking with other youth organisations and established online and offline media. We also discussed and finalised the format of a workshop on youth journalism and managed to have a great time.
The NewsDesk event was a real successful thanks to the great work of JEF-Lithuania and all the participants. Thank you all!
