Dworp

IMG_9676The annual Training Days of JEF-Europe took place between 22 and 26 June 2009 in Dworp, a small town just outside Brussels. Twenty participants from 12 European countries went through a 5-days training on project management, including sessions on how to organise diverse actions, financial resources and fundraising, public and media relations, how to effectively use internet technology with campaigning as well as how to get informed about and implement JEF policies and how to spread ideas of JEF.

This year the Training Days were longer than usual as we combined them with the OfficeDesk event of our current project Europe@myDesk and were divided into different modules. On each of the modules participants were first presented the theoretical framework of the topic, which was followed by a workshop to put the newly acquired knowledge into practice. The event mainly focused on our new project Europe@myDesk, which served as a basis of all sessions organised in the week.

The last day was dedicated to an intervention in a public school in Brussels, where participants spoke with 10 year old children about Europe. The intervention served as a practical example on how to implement Europe@mySchoolDesk activities.
